Last week, Nov 18, PAWS hosted their 15th annual Fur Ball at the Drake Hotel.

The Fur Ball is one of the many amazing fundraisers that PAWS, the city’s NO-KILL shelter provides to reach their goal of a no-kill community. Last week over 700 animal lovers and their four legged friends enjoyed an evening of cocktails, dinner and auctions to support dogs and cats in our community.
Based on PAWS’ website, over 42,000 pets have been killed in our city in the last two decades, and atleast 10,000 pets were euthanized last year alone.
The Furr Ball event is the most important fundraising events of the year to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats in Chicago.

Now I realize that the event is worth the support for a lot of reasons. I am not a pet owner but I support all movements that aim to protect our animals.
