PET SITTING AND DOG WALKING ​SERVICE AGREEMENT 

Client will be prompted to sign our service agreement when activating their account with us in Time to Pet. Our Service Contract needs to be read and signed before we render any services. ​We are more than happy to speak to you about any questions or concerns you might have about the contract.

PAYMENT POLICY:

All payment for dog walking and pet sitting is due before services are rendered. We accept credit cards, ACH payments and Zelle.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR A LA CARTE DOG WALKING: 

Notify us before 4PM of the previous day of cancelled visits: full refund will be given to clients.
Notify us after 4PM no refund given to client; full reservation fee will be charged to client.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR HAPPINESS PROGRAM:

Client receives credit for 2 cancellations/ month when requested before 4PM the day prior. There is no roll over option. Charge will remain for additional cancellations. We do not schedule walks on specific holidays unless requested.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR PET SITTING: (INCLUDING CAT SITTING)

Notify us before 4PM prior to pet sitting start date: full refund will be given to clients. (example, if you request cat sitting for April 4-10, any cancellations for a refund need to me made before 4PM, April 3rd).
Notify us after 4PM no refund given to client; full reservation fee will be charged to client.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR DOG WALKING AND PET SITTING OVER MAJOR NATIONAL HOLIDAYS:

Notify us 7 full days prior to Holiday Period start date: full refund will be given to clients.
Notify us 6 full days or less prior to Holiday Period start date: no refund given to client; full reservation fee will be charged to clientSurcharges:
Client agrees to pay $5 surcharge for the below conditions:
-last minute fee (LMF) for any reservations made with less than 24hrs.
-weekdays before 9:30am and after 4:30pm
​-weekends

Client agrees to pay $12 surcharges for services that land on specific Holidays.

RESTOCKING SUPPLIES

If the sitter needs to restock supplies, Client agrees to pay Chicago Urban Pets a $40/restocking fee including the reimbursement for the restocked supplies

CLIENT HOME CARE NEEDS:

Chicago Urban Pets is not responsible for wilted, dead or otherwise unhealthy plants.
Chicago Urban Pets is not responsible for damage to the home beyond the control of the sitter. This includes, but is not limited to: electrical problems, leaks, and acts of nature. All repairs to home and related fees will be paid by Client or fully reimbursed to Chicago Urban Pets within seven (7) days of Client’s return date. Chicago Urban Pets is not responsible for any damage to the property or home of the Client unless such damage is caused by the negligent act of Chicago Urban Pets.

PET ILLNESS / VETERINARY CARE

Client is aware and agrees to the medical costs of any fees should they arise from animal(s) being ill or otherwise needing veterinary care. Client agrees to pay Chicago Urban Pets the sum of $40/per hour should the sitter need to take the pet(s) to the vet.

INJURY TO CLIENT ANIMAL(S) BY ANOTHER ANIMAL:

Chicago Urban Pets will take all appropriate actions to ensure that Client’s animal(s) are not placed in the company of aggressive or violent animals and/or will immediately remove Client’s animal(s) from any animal fight. Chicago Urban Pets and its employed staff will not be responsible for any animal(s) that instigate fights with other animals or is injured by another animal while in Chicago Urban Pets care. The above waiver of liability in favor of Chicago Urban Pets shall not apply or be effective if Chicago Urban Pets conduct in providing its pet care services is found to be grossly negligent, reckless, or if there is intentional misconduct.

INJURY TO PET SITTER OR ANOTHER PERSON BY CLIENT’S ANIMAL(S):

Client will be responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury beyond the control of the pet sitter by the Client’s pet(s). Client agrees to pay the full cost of any and all medical expenses and damages should they arise to the Chicago Urban Pets pet sitter or the pet sitter’s possessions as a result of the Client’s animal(s) actions. Client agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Chicago Urban Pets in the event of a claim by any person injured by the Client’s pet(s).

OFF-LEASH DOG(S):

Some of our Clients request off-leash activity and play for their dog(s). Client is aware and agrees that the Client’s dog(s) may be off-leash in designated dog parks and other legal-for-dogs areas in order to provide maximum exercise and play for Client’s dog(s). Client agrees that should the Client’s dog(s) run away or be injured during the off-leash play time, neither Chicago Urban Pets nor Chicago Urban Pets walkers/sitters will be held liable for any damages resulting to people or other animals or to the Client’s dog(s).

UNSAFE PET(S):

This contract permits Chicago Urban Pets to use discretion to stop and end service at any time that Client’s pet(s) pose a danger to the safety and health of itself, other pets, other people or Chicago Urban Pets sitters/walkers.

SOLICITATION OF CHICAGO URBAN PETS SITTERS:

Client agrees that the pet sitter provided by Chicago Urban Pets is employed through Chicago Urban Pets. Please address all reservations through the company and not the individual pet sitter.
